The guides are designed for families with older kids ages 8–12 who want to lead the way. They're flexible enough for younger kids (with a little extra help) and even teens who love a good pigeon pun!

The guides are perfect for siblings! Since each one is split into three distinct missions, kids can take turns leading the way or collaborate to choose the path together.

Need extra copies of the activity sheets? No problem! You can download and print as many as you need from the Secret Vault.

Unlock the Secret Vault! Every guide comes with a password to access a special website featuring an updated snack map, secret side quests, and downloadable PDFs of all the activity sheets. (You'll also find some extra goodies from Rye and the DoSS.) You can find the URL and password on the final pages of your guide.

Rye is an urban pigeon, the founder of the Department of Snacks & Secrets (DoSS), and your guide and snack scout. He's a bird-of-all-trades!

DoSS stands for the Department of Snacks & Secrets! It's the playful "agency" founded by Rye to turn city exploration into a snack-fueled, curiosity-driven, kid-led adventure. (Important: The DoSS is very suspicious of squirrels!)

Routes of Resistance will be available soon for each city we feature! They are digital guides that highlight Indigenous and civil rights history and local organizations working for change.

These will be available for $10. We will donate 100% of that cost to a local mutual aid fund or community organization.

We want our guides to be accessible to every curious kid! That's why we have an Accessible Pricing Option for all our digital guides.

No. This option is only available for our digital guides. Physical guides, print packs, and other products are sold at a fixed price to cover the costs of printing, materials, shipping, and the creation of new guides.

You will get a high-quality, interactive PDF that includes all 12 snapshots, maps, codes, and lots of hands-on activities! You'll also have access to a Secret Vault website with an updated snack map, secret side quests, and lots of surprises. It's the full adventure, ready to download instantly.

The physical guide is the printed, physical book version of the digital guide. You will get a beautifully printed softcover book that contains everything the digital guide has, but instead of clickable links, the physical books have QR codes you can scan with a phone or tablet. The physical books are gorgeously printed by Fireball Press.

Print packs are the deluxe upgrade for families who want the full Curiosity Route experience! They include the softcover guide plus a bundle of exclusive, hands-on items:

Not at all! The digital guides are designed to be used on a device, with clickable links to maps and websites. The softcover books include QR codes you can scan. You're welcome to print as much or as little as you'd like, however we do recommend printing the activity pages if you plan to use those.

Due to the nature of digital downloads and custom-printed items, all guides and print packs are final sale. Other unused and unopened products can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Please check our full Refund Policy for details on how to start a return.

We are a small team, so we ship all physical orders once a week on Fridays. You'll receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.
